The 1" tall silver ox centerpiece is a rare Saint Michael the Archangel Medal. The 2 1/4" tall silver ox open work Crucifix is cast in an ornate design. Fashioned with durable nickel silver findings.

Saint Michael is the patron of grocers, mariners, paratroopers, police and against sickness.

The name Michael means "Who is like unto God". His name was proclaimed in the war cry of the good angels in the battles against Lucifer and his followers. The Bible refers to Saint Michael as leading the armies of heaven.

Saint Michael is known as a principal patron and protector against evil by the Church. He is an Archangel, but is also hailed as Prince of the Seraphim.
