This distinctive rosary was made with 6mm and 8mm medium aqua blue Czech glass aurora borealis beads. The 8mm Pater (Our Father) beads are silver capped. The center is a 1" tall silver ox vial of water from Lourdes. The reverse is a relief of Our Lady of Lourdes with Saint Bernadette. The 2 1/4" tall silver ox budded ornate Crucifix is in an open work design. Fashioned with durable nickel silver findings.

Our Lady of Lourdes Feast day is on February 11

In February of 1858, Our Lady appeared to a poor 14 year old girl named Bernadette Soubiroux, just outside of Lourdes, France. In one of Her 18 appearances, She instructed Bernadette to dig at the base of the rock She stood upon. A spring of water gushed forth where there was no sign of water before. She told Bernadette to drink from the waters, then to take Her request that a chapel be built there in Her name to the bishop. Bernadette's request went unheeded until She revealed Her Name, The Immaculate Conception, to Bernadette. As soon as the bishop heard that name, he was convinced that the vision was indeed the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Today, not one, but two churches stand near the grotto, and millions come each year in the hope that they too may be healed in body and spirit by the waters of Lourdes. This centerpiece contains an authentic reliquary of water from the grotto at Lourdes.
