The Four Way Cruciform
Cross Medal

The Four Medals
The four way medal is also called a cruciform. It consists of four separate and complete medals represented in miniature.

The first medal at the top of the cross is the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The reverse is an image of Our Lady of Fatima. The second medal on the left crossbeam is a Saint Joseph Medal. The reverse shows an image of the Infant of Prague. The third medal on the right crossbeam is a Saint Christopher Medal. The reverse is an image of Saint Anthony. The medal at the base is a Miraculous Mary Medal with the Miraculous Symbol on the reverse.

An Image of the Holy Spirit is represented as a dove descending in the center of the cross, joining the four medals into a single design. The images depicted on the reverses are usually found on the original full sized medals as well.
